Diane is the owner of Dee Kay Events, a wedding & event planning firm. This year they expanded services to Croatia.She also looks forward to re-branding her non-profits:1) Croatians of New York & LA (CNYLA), a non-profit organization to promote education and unity among young Croatian American professionals. The CNYLA supported numerous gatherings for thousands of Croatians through the years. 2) The Croatians Cruise was born: the first and only travel event bringing together Croatian-American professionals. Her Ethnic Blog will also be re-branded. She has been a parishioner of the Croatian Church St Cyril & Methodius in New York City her entire life.
She was a kolo dancer for Cardinal Stepinac for many years. She attended Croatian School through church. At the church they pack boxes of supplies for war torn families. She received letters from these refugees.There tragic stories will sit in her heart forever. She is proud of her family immigrant story. It has been a part of everything she does. Even through her business, all her clients know about her heritage and background. She is a first generation American. She celebrates her heritage any way she can, through her writing, her non-profit work or simply posting about the Croatia soccer team.
